Dr. Katherine Meshkati

Dr. Katherine Meshkati grew up in Syosset. She earned her B.S. degree Cum Laude in psychobiology in 1997 at Binghamton University. Upon graduation, Dr. Meshkati moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She graduated Cum Laude and was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society.

Following dental school, Dr. Meshkati spent one year as a general resident at North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset. The experience was so positive, Dr. Meshkati stayed a second year as the chief resident. It was while Dr. Meshkati was at North Shore that she met and began working with Dr. Zapantis, she then joined Dr. Zapantis’ practice in 2002.

Dr. Meshkati is an active member in the Nassau County Dental Society, as well as the New York State Dental Association, American Dental Association and OKU Honor Society at Tufts University. She is also a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Masters designation (M.A.G.D.) in the Academy of General Dentistry is a prestigious honor given to those dentists who obtain certain professional achievements including extensive continuing education requirements.
